Lucienne Bisson (fl 1904-1939)
Lucienne Bisson was born in Paris and is recognised as the illegitimate daughter of Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919). Lucienne's mother was Frederic Vallet-Bisson (1824-1924), a painter of considerable reputation and President of the Society of Women Artists. Lucienne exhibited at most of the important Paris Salons from 1904 to 1939 and at the Salon des Independants from 1926 to 1934. She was elected an "Officier des Instruction Publique" and won the gold medal in 1934.
