Allen Townsend Terrell (1897-1986)
Allen Townsend Terrell was born in New York City and graduated from Columbia University School of Architecture in 1926. He subsequently studied at the Art Students League, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Academe Julian and Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, and the Fontainebleau School of Fine Arts. Terrell's work has been exhibited widely and received medals in both sculpture and painting. His work is in the Museum of the City of New York, MOMA, the Brooklyn Museum, the Suffolk County Historical Society and the IBM Collection.
