Gaetano Tranchino (b.1938)
Born in Siracusa in 1938 Tranchino has rarely left Sicily. He paints the world not as it is, not as he sees it but as it could or should be.....a world made up of unreal images, a world of unknown geographies and shapes and colours never seen. His works have shown widely in Italy and rarely in New York and Germany.
