James Coignard

Born in Tours, France he was raised in Paris. In 1948 just before signing on as a soldier in Indo-China he enrolled in the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs in Nice, France. Shortly thereafter he met Braque, Matisse, and Chagall and held his first exhibition in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
Today his work can be found in public collections worldwide. He lives and works in the South of France.
